Reading these numbers
Well counts are always shown as a pair — rock-evidenced (a formation assignment backed by regulator-reported formation evidence) alongside the total footprint (every well inside the county-based definition). The two are different lenses, not a subset: a play’s rock can extend past its county footprint, and where that gap is material we publish it on the page. See the methodology for why we don’t infer play membership.
